British Expats who have been living abroad for more than 15 years are to finally get the right to vote in UK General Elections. Prime Minister Boris Johnson sent a letter to campaigner Harry Schindler, who has been campaigning for the right to vote abroad for over 20 years. Mr Johnson told Mr Schindler: Now we have left the EU, it is more important than ever to strengthen the UK ties with the British expat community wherever they might be.
Good news for Spain. The latest survey on employment in Spain, published by the National Statistics Institute, the INE showed that by the end of 2019, unemployment had dropped to 13.78 per cent, the lowest annual figure since 2008. Spanish retail sales increased by 1.7% in December from a year earlier on a calendar-adjusted basis, after rising by a revised 2.5% in November.
