Good news for Spain. The latest survey on employment in Spain, published by the National Statistics Institute, the INE showed that by the end of 2019, unemployment had dropped to 13.78 per cent, the lowest annual figure since 2008. Spanish retail sales increased by 1.7% in December from a year earlier on a calendar-adjusted basis, after rising by a revised 2.5% in November.
